Adrien Broner arrested for alleged groping

Broner is currently booked to fight Omar Figueroa on April 21st

Adrien Broner is kind of a jerk, film at 11.

“AB,” who is currently booked to fight Omar Figueroa on April 21st, has been arrested and charged with misdemeanour sexual battery after allegedly grabbing a woman’s genitals in Atlanta’s Lenox Square mall. BlackSportsOnline has video of the arrest and Broner’s newest mugshot.

This isn’t the first, second, third, or fourth time Broner (33-3, 24 KO) has run into legal trouble. The Cincinnati Enquirer lists his assorted shenanigans, including:

In 2007, he was charged in Hamilton County with aggravated robbery and felonious assault. Those charges were dismissed.

In 2008, charges were dropped in a weapons case, a witness intimidation case and a domestic violence case.

In 2010, Broner was arrested on robbery charges. In 2012, he was arrested again on assault charges. Both those cases ended in dismissals.

Then in 2016, he was accused of beating a West Chester man and robbing him of $14,000 during a gambling dispute outside a Madisonville bowling alley. The charges, again, were dismissed, but not before Judge Robert Ruehlman sentenced him to 30 days in jail for showing up to a hearing “three hours late and drunk.”

There’s currently no word on whether this will affect the Figueroa fight, but we’ll let you know. In the meantime, I would like to call attention to this hideously underrated gem in the Deadspincomments section:
