Adrien Broner gets into beef with 6ix9ine

Adrien Broner is known to be a little bit of a hothead, and he’s starting his fight week festivities by getting into a social media spat with the “King of New York,” rapper 6ix9ine.

It all began just a couple of hours ago when Broner took exception to a comment the colorful rapper posted under one of his photos, which sparked one of those predictable Broner rants.

Apparently Broner doesn’t like being referred to as a clown, so he offered to “pull up” on the rapper while he’s in New York this week for his Showtime main event against Jessie Vargas.

It wasn’t but a half hour later before the rapper responded, offering a $300K wager that Broner would lose his fight, while throwing a few people’s college tuition into the air.

Broner has never been one to deal with distractions all that well, but he just got himself another one at a pretty inopportune moment — especially if he’s supposed to be completely focused on his upcoming fight. I half expect there to be at least some sort of pre-or-post-fight altercation which should be pretty awesome for the ratings, but maybe not so awesome for Broner.

Either way I’m stoked.
