Super flyweight Akio Furutani of Osaka scored a majority decision over Takayuki Okumoto last Dec. 27 at the EDION Arena in Osaka.
The 22-year-old Akio despite a cut from a clash of heads improved his record to nine wins with three knockouts against four setbacks while Takayuki suffered 10 defeats against 23 wins and four draws.
Meanwhile, welterweight Yuichi Ideta won by a majority decision over Ryota Yada in the main supporting event.
The other bouts:
Light flyweight Katsunari Takayama beat Reiya Konishi by a unanimous decision; featherweight Jinki Maeda knockout Kaito Okubo in the 2nd round; super featherweight Ryuichi Kitazono knockout Hummer Taku in the 1st round; minimumweight Ryusuke Harada TKO’d Sho Hatsuda in the 2nd round.
It was promoted by Masaya Motoishi of Green Tsuda Promotions.
