Puerto Rican Yomar Alamo became WBC youth Super Lightweight World Champion with a lightening quick and crushing knockout in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico.
In the main event with the World Boxing Council Youth Championship on the line , Aguas Buenas idol Yomar ‘The Magic’ Alamo (14-0, 11 KO’s) defeated Hungarian Zsigmond Vass (13-5, 2 KO`s) by knockout in 1:03 of the first round, at the Samuel ‘Sammy’ Rodriguez Coliseum of Aguas Buenas.
This fight was historic, since the WBC Youth World Championship had never been contested on Puerto Rican soil.
“I’m happy to make history in front of my people. I trained so very hard to win by knockout and we all saw the results, “said Yomar Alamo,” I will not stop until I become a world champion. Aguas Buenas and all of Puerto Rico, this is for you and I hope it is just the beginning of more titles and blessings for my career. I am motivated to work even harder.”
