WBC heavyweight female champion, Alejandra Jiménez, wants to defend her crown, and she’s keen to grant Martha Salazar a rematch.
She also said she considers unfair to be the first Mexican heavyweight champion and not having fights. “Tigre” said the fight she won against Martha at Cancun’s Oasis Hotel on March 18th last year was a tough, yet excellent learning curve. It went the full distance, with Alejandra winning by majority decision.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman commented that it’ll go for a mandatory fight with former champion Martha Salazar.
