Alejandro Perez wanted a ranked opponent, and he got one.

The season one winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America has been booked to fight 15th-ranked bantamweight Matthew Lopez at UFC on FOX 29, which is set to go down on April 14 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz.

MMA Fighting learned of the booking on Thursday.

Perez is currently unbeaten in his last five UFC bouts, including four victories and one draw. The Mexican fighter is coming off a decision win over veteran fighter Iuri Alcantara back in December. “Turbo,” who trains out of AKA in San Jose, currently 19–6–1 as a professional fighter.

Meanwhile, Lopez will be looking to bounce back from the first KO loss of his professional career. Lopez was stopped by top contender Raphael Assuncao in November. Prior to that, Lopez was on a two-fight win streak with solid victories over Johnny Eduardo and Mitch Gagnon.
