UFC on FOX: Gaethje vs. Poirier took place April 14 at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona. UFC welterweight veteran Carlos Condit (30-12) took on Brazilian contender Alex Oliveira (19-4-1, 2 NC) in the night’s co-main event, which aired live on FOX. Catch the video highlights below.

Round 1: Referee Chris Tognoni the third man in the cage. Oliveira looking loose, hands low. He’s firing kicks off at Condit, who answers with low kicks. They both close the distance at the same time and end up in the clinch. Oliveira lands a big trip and falls right into half guard. Short punches to the body by Oliveira. Oliveira staying heavy and tight trying to advance. He’s in full guard and picks up Condit to drive him against the fence. Condit works to get to his knees and scores a double leg takedown. He gets inside half guard and lands short elbows. Oliveira tries to power out but is stuck on his back. They scramble and Condit gets back control. Body triangle for Condit and he’s searching for a rear-naked choke. Twice it looks like he has it and twice Oliveira gets his head out.

Round 2: Condit pressing forward with a combination, but Oliveira catches a kick and gets a takedown. He’s in full guard, pushing Condit against the fence. Punches from top position by Oliveira. Oliveira postures up and takes a couple of up-kicks. Condit gets up, but Oliveira scores another takedown. He blocks a sweep attempt by Condit and lands ground and pound. Condit stays active, uses the fence to walk up, then scores a double leg takedown of his own. Condit has been cut open by an Oliveira elbow. He fires elbows from inside Oliveira’s guard. Condit eats an up-kick as he tries to get back on top They scramble up and Oliveira snags a tight guillotine. Great officiating by Tognoni as Condit isn’t moving much, but he has an arm between himself and Oliveira that he’s using to create distance between them. Oliveira holds onto it and they go down to the mat. He’s squeezing and Condit has to tap out.
