Alexander Gustafsson was probably dodging one spinning elbow away from being world champion back in 2013. He will get another chance at UFC 232, and claims he has the perfect style to beat Jon Jones.

“I’m his kryptonite, he doesn’t like to fight me. I’m bringing something he can’t really handle,” Gustafsson said. “I’m here to take over. I’m here to take over Jon’s place in the rankings and in the history of this sport.

“It doesn’t matter to me if he’s a cheat or not. He can cheat on the 29th, I don’t care. It doesn’t matter if he takes his steroids,” he said about Jones’ failed tests. “I know what I’ve been doing. I know I’m prepared for this. Me and my whole team are making sure I’m ready for war.”

Gustafsson also went on to say that he “doesn’t trust” the judges, and plans to make sure he wins every moment of every round.

“I’m here to beat the guy that’s never been beat before,” Gustafsson said. “I’ve never been in this great shape in my life.

“The (first bout) was the best fight in the light heavyweight division ever. We did something good, we did something right in that first fight, but I can promise you, this fight will be even better. I have prepared for 10 rounds, and I will push him from round 1 to the end of it.”

UFC 232 happens on December 29. Gustafsson is currently a +240 underdog to Jones.
