All set for Mediterranean WBC title fight in Germany

Tomorrow at the MCN Event Halle, in Neuwied, Germany, Aydemir Promotions will present a closed-door card with all the safety and health measures to protect the well-being of those involved.

In the main match, local prospect Ilhami Aydemir (17-1-0, 11 Ko’s), will face Belgian Ahmed El Hamwi (19-9-2, 1 Ko), for the World Boxing Council Mediterranean welterweight title.
This Friday the official weigh-in was done at the Imota hotel-restaurant in Neuwied. Ilhami Aydemir registered 145.2 pounds (65.9 kg), while Ahmed El Hamwi registered 148.8 pounds (67.5 kg).

Failing to set the 147-pound limit, El Hamwi cannot be declared champion if he wins the bout. The title would be vacant. In case Aydemir wins, he will be recognized as champion.
In addition, the card will also feature the participation of the Romani Alexandru Jur, who seeks to return to the path of triumph after his defeat against the Russian Aleksei Papin.
