Russian Mikhail Aloyan will face Nicaraguan Richardson Blandon in the first defense of his World Boxing Association (WBA) Gold Super Flyweight Championship this Friday at the Sibur Arena in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Aloyan is a native of Armenia but has Russian nationality, a country he has represented since amateur and where he achieved great glories that give him great credit in his professional career. The 23-year-old southpaw boxer has been a professional since 2017 and has experience in world championship fights.

He won the Gold belt in December 2019 by unanimous decision over Panama’s Ronal Batista in Kemerovo. Now he is returning after a long period of inactivity to face the Central American in defense of that crown.

For his part, Blandon is a boxer with a good career who at 29 years old has been WBA-Fedecentro Champion and now seeks to climb to a new level against the Russian boxer.

The bout is part of Vladimir Hrnov’s event this Friday night, which will feature Fedor Chudinov defending his WBA Gold Super Middleweight title against Ryno Liebenberg.

Aloyan has 5 wins and 1 loss, while Blandon has 15 wins, 3 losses, and 9 KOs.
