Talita Nogueira has a new opponent for her Bellator debut.
Originally booked to meet Gabrielle Holloway at the Bellator 182 card in Verona, N.Y., on Aug. 25, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace will now take on Amanda Bell. The promotion announced the change on Monday.
Bell (5-4) returns to the Bellator cage five weeks after finishing Brittney Elkin in her promotional debut. The California native, who defeated Holloway earlier this year, won back-to-back bouts since losing to future Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson.
Nogueira (6-0) was scheduled to compete twice before in Bellator, but pulled out of a 2015 bout with Julia Budd due to a knee injury, and then missed weight prior to a fight with Marloes Coenen at Bellator 163. “Treta” has finished her six opponents in the Brazilian circuit between 2009 and 2013.
Bellator 182 takes place at the Turning Stone Casino and features Andrey Koreshkov vs. Chidi Njokuani in the main event.
