Amir Albazi predicts second-round finish of Jose Torres at Brave 22

Undefeated Flyweight Amir Albazi will be making his Brave Combat Federation debut against one of the promotion’s biggest-ever USA signings Jose Torres. The Iraq-born Swedish representative says he feels at ease waiting for their fight in the background, while Torres gets all the attention. They face each other in the co-main event of Brave 22: Storm of Warriors, set for the iconic Mall of Asia Arena, in Manila, Philippines, on March 15th.

While he’s appreciative of Shorty’s skills, Albazi doesn’t feel threatened in any aspect of the game by the American. The London Shootfighters athlete is predicting a second-round finish against his foe for Brave 22.

“I think he’s a very experienced fighter and I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills against him. I don’t think Jose can threaten me anywhere to be honest. I am confident in my abilities and I think I can get either a TKO or a submission against him in the second round. I do hope he’s training hard for this because I’m bringing everything I’ve got into the cage. No excuses”, says Albazi.

While Amir has more professional fights under his belt, Torres gets the nod in experience through his amateur work. For Albazi, a chance against one of the best Flyweights in the world is just what he needs at this stage in his career.

“I take pride in the work that I do. I’m always the first person in the gym and the last one to come out. I want to be recognized as the best Flyweight ever so to fight a guy like Torres now is just what I need”, claims Albazi.

Brave 22 marks the first time the biggest promotion in the Middle East hosts an event in the Philippines. Local hero and Bantamweight champion Stephen Loman will defend his belt for the third time against former Featherweight titleholder Elias Boudegzdame in the main event, while Cian Cowley returns to take on John Brewin at Lightweight and other nine Filipino heroes fight for their honor inside the Brave cage.
