Andales loses to Niyomtrong by 7th round TD

DAVAO CITY — ArAr “Asero” Andales of Cavite lost for the first time with a 7th round technical decision to defending champion Thammanoon Niyomtrong of Thailand in the World Boxing Association world minimumweight title last Aug. 2 at the City Hall Ground in Nakhon, Sawan, Thailand.It was the first loss suffered by the 19-year old Andales since winning 10 bouts, two by knockout.The 28-year old Niyomtrong, alias “Knockout CP Freshmart” posted its 20th victory and the 17th by knockout. It was the 7th defense by Niyomtrong.The promoter is Piyarat Vachirarattanawong of Petpiya Fight. (Lito delos Reyes)
