Injury has forced a change to a ONE Super Series Muay Thai bout at ONE: DAWN OF HEROES, but fans will still see an incredible match-up in “the art of eight limbs.”
With little more than a week to go until ONE Championship returns to the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, Andrew “Maddog Fairtex” Miller has stepped in to face Rodlek PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym.
The contest will take place in the bantamweight division on the main card next Friday, 2 August.
Miller will return for his fourth match in The Home Of Martial Arts – and his third in just three months – to take on the Thai superstar.
The 28-year-old hails from Scotland, but trains at the famed Fairtex Gym in Pattaya, Thailand – home to fellow ONE superstars Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex, Saemapetch Fairtex, and two-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex.
“Maddog Fairtex” is a WKA British Champion with a Muay Thai record of 34-17-2, and he previously said that he wants to face the toughest opponents on the global stage and put on exciting battles.
He should get his wish against Rodlek, who will come into the contest fresh off one of the bouts of the year at ONE: LEGENDARY QUEST last month, when he defeated eight-time World Champion Liam “Hitman” Harrison via unanimous decision.
The 29-year-old from Bangkok, who is a Channel 7 Muay Thai World Champion, improved his record to 126-40-5 and became an instant contender in his division.
ONE: DAWN OF HEROES will also feature Muay Thai action in the co-main event as Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon challenges Jonathan “The General” Haggerty for the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship.
In the headline attraction, Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen will defend his ONE Featherweight World Championship against Koyomi “Moushigo” Matsushima.
