Australian former world champion Andrew “Monster” Moloney outclassed and decisioned game Filipino Froilán “The Sniper” Saludar over 10 rounds of action tonight, Tuesday night, at the Events Center in Sydney, Australia.
The former world title challenger Froilan Saludar (32-5-1, 22 KO’s) from The City of Golden Friendship, Cagayan de Oro, fought his heart out showing technique and defensive skills, but was absolutely dominated by the aggressive, coming forward Aussie Moloney, whose goal now is to get a shot at Japanese WBO 115 lbs world champion Kazuto Ioka. Will he get it in 2022?
There were no knockdowns nor cuts throughout the hard-fought 10-round rumble in which Moloney’s superior punching output saw him the clear winner.
Official scores for the main event battle were 99-1, 98-92 and 98-91 all in favor of the 30-year-old “Monster” Andrew Moloney (22-2, 14 KO’s), who tonight claimed the vacant WBO Oriental súper Flyweight Strap.
Moloney vs Saludar was live on FOX in Australia and on ESPN.
