Arise Ambassador Garcia… of BoxVal

During the whirlwind visit of WBC lightweight world champion, Mikey Garcia, World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman, appointed the whole Garcia Family  as Ambassador for the BoxVal program sponsored by Pope Francisco  and invited them to plant the “Olivo de la Paz”, which represents peace for all religions and cultures.

Mikey who`s known for digging in tremendous blows,  wasted no hot air, immediately getting  to work,  shoveling earth into the container holding the attractive gray tree, which looked sorely in need for a sprinkling of refreshing water, on the gardener`s rounds…or between rounds?

It`s a cherished and realized dream of Pope Francis that the Sholas Ocurrentes foundation, is bridging and united all social groups with  one voice: World Peace. This was reflected with the planting of the olive tree…the very symbol of peace respect, teamwork, honesty, effort and spirit of solidarity.  Qualities  that  our champion Mikey Garcia, Brother Robert and Father Eduardo, plus all their Family,  show each and every day, in each and every way.
