45-year-old former WBA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan (38-8-2, 23 KOs) hammered out a twelve round unanimous decision over Nuri Seferi (37-8, 21 KOs) on Saturday night at the EWS Arena in Göppingen, Germany. Scores were 118-111, 115-113, 115-113. With the win, Arslan claimed the vacant WBO European title.
Former IBF light heavyweight title challenger Karo Murat (30-3-1 19 KOs) stopped Yevgeni Makhteienko (8-5, 7 KOs) in the twelfth round. Murat dropped Makhteienko three times in the bout and finally got the referee to wave it off with 14 seconds remaining in the bout. Murat claimed the vacant WBA International title.
WBA #7 rated heavyweight Manuel Charr (30-4, 17 KOs) pounded out a ten round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Sefer Seferi (21-1, 19 KOs) to claim the vacant WBA International title. Scores were 97-92, 98-91, 96-93.
Former 2004 Olympic heavyweight gold medalist Odlanier Solis (22-3, 14 KOs) struggled to a disappointing eight round points win over journeyman Aleksandar Todorovic (8-10-1, 7 KOs).
