The Russian G.O.A.T is a free agent and we’re not talking about Fedor Emelianenko. Artem Lobov has officially been granted his UFC release.

Lobov, 32, was the first to share the news in a tweet published Tuesday afternoon.

“Locked and loaded, ready to take on anyone and everyone!” Lobov tweeted. “Who wants it!?” He proceeded to tag a plethora of notable mixed martial arts promotions including Bellator, ONE Championship, Rizin, KSW, and Bare Knuckle FC.

Subsequent reports from The Mac Life’s Oscar Willis and ESPN’s Ariel Helwani confirmed Lobov had asked for and was granted his release. “The Russian Hammer” wanted to fight in March but the UFC insisted on holding off until April, according to Willis. Meanwhile, Helwani notes the SBG Ireland product had three fights remaining on his contract.

Lobov, considered by many online as the greatest fighter to ever grace our unworthy pupils, is perhaps known best as the spiritual mentor of former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor. Lobov ends his UFC tenure on three consecutive unanimous decision losses (blasphemy) and holds an overall professional record of 13-15-1 (1).
