DAVAO CITY — Newly-crowned World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental
bantamweight champion Vincent “Asero” Astrolabio of Gen. Santos City will
defend his title against Kevin “The Bull” Aseniero of Zamboanga City on
Aug. 24 at the Fil Oil Flying V at San Juan Arena in San Juan City.The 22-year
old Astrolabio (13W-3L-0D, 9KO) stopped via TKO in the 9th round Patrick
Liuhoto of Indonesia to win the vacant WBO Oriental bantamweight
title last April 6 in Jakarta, Indonesia.Aseniero, on the other hand, TKO’d
Kyota Otsuka of Japan in the 7th round last July 20 in Bacoor, Cavite.The 25-
year old orthodox fighter beat Jayar Diama of Sarangani by a unanimous
decision last Dec. 8 to win the vacant LuzProba super flyweight title in
Pangasinan.He settled a split draw with Ken Jordan of Gen. Santos City last
May 23 in TV5 Station.The promoters are Sen. Manny Pacquio and Raide
