Astrolabio to defend crown WBO Oriental bantamweight title

DAVAO CITY — Vincent “Asero” Astrolabio of Gen. Santos City will defend

his World Boxing Organization Oriental bantamweight title for the first

time against dangerous Kevin “The Bull” Aseniero of Zamboanga City on

Aug. 24 at the San Andres Sports Complex in Malate, Manila.The 22-year old

Astrolabio (13W-3L-0D, 9KO) TKO’d previous undefeated Patrick Liukhoto

of Indonesia in Kampus IBM ASMI in Jakarta, Indonesia.Astrobio, however,

lost to Zong Li He of China by a majority decision in the vacant WBO Asian

Pacific Youth super flyweight title last Dec. 15 in Yubei, China.Aseniero, on

the other hand, TKO’d Kyota Otsuka of Japan in the 7th round in Bacoor,

Cavite last July 20.The 25-year old Aseriero (9W-2L-1D, 5KO) won a

unanimous decision over Jamar Diama of Valenzuela for the LuzProba

super flyweight title last Dec. 8.He settled a split draw with Ken Jordan of

Gen. Santos City last May 23 in the Tv5 Studio, Novaliches.The promoters

are Sen Manny Pacquiao and Raides “Nonoy” Neri.
