Frenchman Yvan Mendy (37-4-1, 18 KOs) fights Argentina’s Javier Clavero (21-2, 5 KOs), with the World Boxing Council’s lightweight Silver title on the line, at the Gymnase la salamandre, Pont-Sainte-Maxence, Oise, France, on Saturday.
Mendy comes from defeating by decision to Mexican Juan Ocura, in France; he has been National Champion of France, EBU and WBC International champion.
Clavero comes from defeating Pablo Martin Barboza in Argentina and has held the South American and National title of Argentina.
In other interesting matches, local Guillaume Frenois will face Spanish Ruddy Encarnacion with the EBU featherweight on the line; While Kamel Abdesselam and Karim Achour will compete for the French national title in the middleweight division. The card is presented by Asloum Events and it will be televised for all France by SFR Sport.
