On May 22, the two best super lightweight champions of today will clash in a unification match.
American José Carlos Ramírez and British Josh Taylor will fight for the supremacy of 140 pounds, on a card presented by Top Rank and that will be broadcast live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.
This important fight will have an attractive undercard, led by the Mexican José Zepeda (33-2, 26 KOs, 2 NC), who will defend his World Boxing Council Silver super lightweight title, against the experienced North American Hank Lundy (31-8- 1, 14 Kos).
In another bout, Mexican contender José Enrique Vivas will face Louie Coria, trained by Robert Garcia, in a scheduled eight-round bout.
Undefeated sensation Elvis “The Dominican Kid” Rodriguez will face former American amateur star Kenneth “Bossman” Sims Jr. in an eight-round match.
Las Vegas star Andrés Cortés will make his 11th consecutive appearance in his hometown, this time against Eduardo “Thunder” Garza in an eight-round super featherweight bout.
Raymond “Danger” Muratalla, a lightweight prospect trained by Robert Garcia, will fight José Luis Gallegos in an eight-round bout.
And middleweight prospect Javier “Milwaukee Made” Martinez, will fight veteran Calvin Metcalf in a six-round fight.
