UNDEFEATED KJ “The Ohayami Boy” Natuplag will fight former Philippine super flyweight champion Danilo “Pitbull” Pena for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) featherweight title this Sunday (Nov. 26) at the CCDC Gym in Barangay Poblacion of La Trinidad, Benguet.
The title-fight is promoted by international promoter Brico Santig of Highland Promotions and co-promoted by Darwin Dep-ay.
“Ito ang pinaka malaking test kay KJ dahil beterano ang kanyang makakalaban,” said Santig.
The 21-year old Natuplag is a former LuzProBA bantamweight champion. He previously scored a 1st round technical knockout win against Bener Santig last Sept. 23 at the La Trinidad Municipal Gym.
Pena, on the other hand, is a veteran of 60 fights with 27 wins, 11 knockouts, 28 losses and five draws. He has already fought 14 championship bouts.
The 36-year old Pena is also a former PBF super bantamweight champion. He also fought but lost for the IBO world super bantamweight by a unanimous decision to Tshifhiwa Munyai at the Emperor’s Palace in Kempton Park in 2011.
Pena also bowed in the other title fights for the PBF bantamweight, OPBF super flyweight, interim WBO Oriental bantamweight, PABA super bantamweight, WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental super bantamweight, PABA featherweight, Philippine featherweight and WBC ABCO featherweight.
