Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang announced on Thursday, 2 July, that he tested positive for COVID-19.
The two-division ONE World Champion shared that he was tested on Monday, 29 June, and is now quarantining for 14 days along with his family.
“I had a slight fever, congestion, body ache, and fatigue on the first two days,” the Myanmar mixed martial arts superstar wrote on Instagram.
“Besides that, I am blessed that my whole family is doing well. We are really in this together and we will get over this.”
In the comments, Aung La N Sang also thanked his fans for their well-wishes and replied to fellow athletes like Reece “Lightning” McLaren to say he’s doing well.
Fortunately, the ONE Middleweight and Light Heavyweight World Champion appears to be on track for a full and speedy recovery.
Everyone at ONE Championship sends their best wishes to “The Burmese Python” and his family, and we encourage everyone to wear a mask.
