Japan’s Ken Shiro (14-0, 8 KO’s), who`s the World Boxing Council light flyweight champion, will defend his crown against the complicated Mexican fighter Saul “Baby” Juarez (24-8-2, 13), on December 30 in the General Ota-City Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, on a billboard that will be broadcast by Fuji TV.
Saul is undergoing a rugged training camp to face Shiro, on Japanese turf, and he`s vowing to return to Mexico with the belt.
It`ll be his second chance to contest a world title. In 2016 he lost a decision to WBC minimum weight champion Wanheng Menayothin. Now one weight divison higher, its champion Ken, wants to close the year with one more successfully defence, as he`s in the running to be recognized as champion of the year in Japan, having made successful defenses against Ganigan Lopez and Milan Melindo.
