Welterweight James “Bring Home the” Bacon of Mandaue City will fight Ramon De La Cruz Sena of Argentina on Jan. 30 at the Four Ambassadors Hotel in Miami, Florida, USA.
The 30-year-old Bacon (25W-4L-0D, 17KOs) had two successful fights last year. He first knockout Gonzalo Carlos Dallera of Argentina in the 2nd round last Oct. 17 at Manual Artime Community Center Theater in Miami.
Bacon then stopped Roque Agustin Junco of Argentina in the 2nd round last Nov. 20 at Media Plus Studios in Hialeah.
Sena (23W-27L-3D, 13KOs), on the other hand, last won against Gustavo Damian Reales of Argentina on points last May 17, 2019 at Coliseo Deportivo in La Banda.
Sena, however, lost three successive bouts with the last one against Josec Ruiz of Honduras by disqualification last Oct. 25 at Miami-Dade County Fair & Expo in Miami.
It will be handled by the Florida State Boxing Commission while the promoter is Laura Ching of M&R Boxing Promotions. The matchmaker is Melvin Rivas.
