Frenchman Bastien Ballesta defeated Hedi Slimani from Belgium at Arenes Municipales, Boujan-Sur-Libron, in France, to be crowned Francophone super lightweight champion of the World Boxing Council.
The fight was hotly contested, but unfortunately, Slimani suffered a dislocation of his left shoulder at the end of the fifth round, which prevented him from continuing the fight.
Ballesta, with this triumph, shows that he is one of the best prospects of his country.
The Referee was Robin Dolpierre, while the Judges were Christophe Fernández, Ali Oubaali and Francisco Vazquez Marcos. The Supervisor was the Vice President of the WBC and President of the ABU, Houcine Houichi.
