DAVAO CITY (Sept. 8) – The official weigh-in of the exciting “Battle in Tupi” boxing event will be held tomorrow September 9 at 10 a.m. at the Jams Restobar in General Santos City.

Promoter Jim Claude “JC” Manangquil said the weigh-in for the double championship fights of the World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Boxing Council will be supervised by Dr. Nasser Cruz. He will be assisted by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Davao field officers led by officer-in-charge Arlene Olondriz.

The main event will feature undefeated Reymart “Gensan Assassin” Gaballo against Yodichai Sithsaithong for the vacant WBC Asia Superbantamweight title while the other championship bout is between Sanman’s Romero “Ruthless” Duno (10-1) against Maxsaisai Sithsaithong for the vacant WBC Asia Superfeatherweight crown.

US-bound “Magic” Mike Plania and John Vincent “Mulawin” Moralde also of Sanman Boxing Stable will also both see action.

Plania, who is currently the World Boxing Federation International bantamweight title-holder will be facing Jhonrey de Asis (6-1-1) for 10 rounds in the main supporting bout. Moralde, who holds the WBF International featherweight crown, will be fighting Hagibis Quinones for only eight rounds.

Also featured in the undercard are super flyweight Engelbert Moralde against Jun Eraham and Jayson Mama versus Roger Salaton in the 4-round curtain raiser.
