Tonight it is the turn of Belfast super middleweight Taylor McGoldrick.

The 23 year old has signed a management deal with Mack The Knife Global as he leaves the vest behind.

A talented amateur with the Holy Trinity club in Belfast, McGoldrick competed well at Intermediate level at middleweight and light heavy over the years.

He becomes the twenty-eighth Irish pro signed to MTK and joins other Holy Trinity alumni such as Lewis Crocker, Pádraig McCrory, and Conrad Cummings in the pros

McGoldrick said that “I’m extremely pleased to be turning professional with MTK. They are one of the biggest names in world boxing. This is a huge dream of mine and I’m really excited to get going.”

“I’ve been boxing since the age of nine, competing in a number of competitions and beating some of the best competitors from all around Ireland. I feel my style is well suited for the pro game, I hit hard, have a lot of heart and bring excitement to the ring.”

“I want to get adjusted to the pro’s and make my debut this year. In the long-term, I definitely plan on becoming a world champion. I know it’s a long and hard road ahead but that is my ultimate goal and something I’ve dreamed of since I started boxing.”

MTK Global added that “we are delighted to welcome Taylor to the team. We believe he will emerge as one of Irish boxing’s standout performers in the coming years and look forward to helping him achieve his boxing ambitions.”

A debut date for McGoldrick will be announced shortly.
