Bellator 206 salaries: Gegard Mousasi cashes $150,000 for champion vs. champion win

Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi was one of five fighters to clear the six-figure mark in earnings at Bellator 206.

The California State Athletic Commission released the event’s finalized disclosed payroll to MMA Fighting over the weekend.

Mousasi defeated Bellator welterweight titleholder Rory MacDonald via second-round TKO to defend his middleweight strap in the champion vs. champion main event of Bellator 206. Mousasi earned a flat $150,000 salary with no win bonus for the performance, which extended his current winning streak to eight straight.

Bellator 206 took place Sept. 29 at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. The night’s main card aired live on DAZN streaming service.

Aside from Mousasi, four other fighters hit the six-figure mark in earnings at Bellator 206: Quinton “Rampage” Jackson ($300,000), Wanderlei Silva ($200,000), MacDonald ($150,000), and Douglas Lima ($130,000).
