Former reality television star Aaron Chalmers, has signed on the dotted line with Bellator.
Chalmers (4-0-0) first announced his signing Friday via a Twitter post. Bellator later confirmed his signing to MMA Fighting. Chalmers’ management confirmed an initial report from MMANytt.comstating that he had signed a two-year, six-fight deal with the promotion.
Although Chalmers made his promotional debut at Bellator 200 – a first-round submission win over Ashley Griffiths – the former Geordie Shore cast member has been locked in a contract dispute with BAMMA, deeming him inactive ever since.
Speaking to The Sun about his signing, Chalmers described his contract situation with BAMMA as a “long-winded process.”
“It’s a dream come true (to sign the deal). It was a long-winded process with BAMMA – it was haunting my career and I didn’t know why,” Chalmers said.
Chalmers has stopped all four of his opponents to date in the first round. He made his professional debut in May. 2017 with a first-round submission win over Greg Jenkins at BAMMA 29.
