A decorated striker has joined the Bellator roster.
Bellator president Scott Coker announced on Tuesday the signing of Robin van Roosmalen, a former Glory featherweight and lightweight titleholder. Coker teased that the 29-year-old will be part of the 145-pound tournament.
Roosmalen, whose kickboxing record of 51 wins and 18 losses includes victories over the likes of Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong and Petpanomrung Kiatmuu9, competed twice under MMA rules between 2016 and 2017, scoring a pair of TKO wins in Greece.

The 16-man featherweight tournament is expected to start in October, Coker announced earlier this year. It’s still unclear if two-division champion Patricio Freire, who recently moved up from 145 pounds to dethrone Michael Chandler at lightweight, will be part of the grand prix.
