Welterweight prospect Conor Benn will return to the ring next Saturday to defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) continental title against Adrian Granados in the main fight of the first week of Matchroom Boxing’s Fight Camp in Brentwood, England.

Benn is one of the most impressive young talents at 147 pounds and will be making the fifth defense of his continental belt against an experienced opponent like Granados in what will be a good test for the 24-year-old British fighter.

“The Destroyer” has been facing better and better opponents over the years. He has just defeated the experienced Samuel Vargas in his most recent fight and now he will have a challenge against Granados.

The Mexican has faced opponents such as Danny Garcia, Adrien Broner, and Shawn Porter. That experience is a card for the 31-year-old fighter, who assured that he will give the surprise against Benn this Saturday.

The Fight Camp has shown the first pictures of what the atmosphere will be like this week, the first of several boxing events. In addition to this fight, WBA featherweight champion Can Xu will also step into the ring to face Leigh Wood, while Anthony Fowler will clash with Rico Mueller in defense of his WBA-International super welterweight crown.

Benn comes in with a record of 18 wins, no losses, and 12 knockouts, while Granados has 21 wins, 8 losses, 3 draws and 15 knockouts.
