On January 28, Francisco “Bandido” Vargas (23-0-2, 17 KO’s) defends his WBC super featherweight belt against Miguel Berchelt (30-1, 27
KOs) at Fantasy Springs Casino in California.
Berchelt is super motivated by this fight, vowing the performance of a career to get the win.
“I’ve been training since August because I was going to fight against
Orlando Cruz but this is a better fight, fight against Vargas and for
the green and gold belt.
“This will be a real battle for the WBC world title and against a true
champion like Francisco Vargas. Every boxing fan knows what he is
capable of doing. He is very brave, he has a lot of heart and he never
stops throwing punches. But I have my own style with which I can defeat him.
“This is the biggest fight of my career so far. To beat Vargas will mean a lot to me, and to win the respect of the boxing fans, plus the most prestigious belt in the world.”
