Alessio Bisutti Claims WBC Asia Strap; Alfred Deano, Renato Cha Jr Score Wins in Thailand

Unbeaten 102-kilos warrior Alessio Bisutti (7-0, 6 KO’s) of Venetto, Italy, dropped and stopped in five exciting stanzas Thai challenger Panya Chomphoophuang (18-15-1, 13 KO’s), for a successful first defense of his WBC Asian Continental Bridgerweight Title July 13 at the FCC Boxing Gym in Pattaya, Kingdom of Thailand.

Trained by Filipino coaches, Bisutti did not wasted a second in coming on the attack, rocking the more-experienced Panya, although the 33-year-old Thai fighter timed him well, countering the bigger man with solid combinations that momentarily halted the intense pressure from the Italian fighter.

None of the boxers showed that much a refined technique nor finesse in their boxing, but the main event battle was an exciting, vibrant one, thrilling fans in attendance, keeping them on the edge of their seats.

The war reached its climax during the action of frame five when Alessio Bisutti exploded huge hands on the Thailander, short-circuiting him, decking him near the ropes for the complete count.

With the win, Alessio Bisutti retains his WBC Asia Continental Bridgerweight Belt, looking forward to his next rumble scheduled for October at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.

MORE RESULTS

In the evening’s co-feature, Türkiye’s Ege Arin Konuk (10-0, 5 KO’s) scored a unanimous decision win over veteran former WBO World Champion Panya Uthok (a.k.a. Pungluang Sor Singyu), for a successful first defense of his WBC Asia Continental Super Lightweight Title.

Also, undefeated Featherweight Alfred “The Destroyer” Deaño (12-0-1, 9 KO’s) from Davao, Philippines, pommeled veteran Manot Comput in two rounds for his second consecutive win in Thailand.

His fellow Filipino, 126-pounder Renato “The Unstoppable” Cha Jr. (1-0, 1 KO), claimed a quick and devastating win as well, scoring his first win in pro boxing.

Renato, a former MMA fighter of Team Lakay, stopped his opponent Nopphakrit Aphiwitrachanon in the second round with one solid, perfectly-placed body.

Also in the show, promising 21-year-old Super Lightweight Efe Derin Konuk (9-0, 5 KO’s), from Konak, Türkiye, showed fans quality boxing as well as devastating power in stopping in four frames tough 26-year-old Sakda Langkabam (9-4, 7 KO’s).

Then, in an exciting rematch, 27-year-old French Super Lightweight Ibrahim Chabane (5-2, 5 KO’s), overpowered and dethroned Phatiphan “Tiger” Krungklang in three chapters, getting sweet revenge from his former tormentor, while taking his WBA Asia South 140-pound belt.

The war was the much-awaited rematch of the two men’s thrilling rumble last April.

In that first encounter, the experienced Phitiphan Krungklang, 26  –  who is also a bare knuckle fighter –  rocked and shocked Ibrahim Chabane, stopping him two rounds, dropping fans’ jaws.

This time, it was Ibrahim Chabane the one claiming victory.

In Super Middleweights, undefeated Franck Atangana (6-0, 2 KO’s) from Paris, France, outclassed and decisioned Thailand’s Prachak Porkha (11-6, 5 KO’s), for a well-deserved 6-round unanimous decision win.
