BLEED FOR THIS PREMIER

On November 10th, Providence, Rhode Island was the place to be for the movie BLEED FOR THIS… a film chronicling the amazing, comeback story of 3X World Champion, Vinny Paz,  premiered in his hometown.
The movie was shown to invited audience only, friends and supporters of the Champ, who dressed up and came out to show their love. It took two IMAX theaters to accommodate the over 1100 people who attended.
When the movie finished, there was a panel where the audience got to ask questions to Ben Young (director/writer) Vinny Paz, and actors Miles Teller (who played Vinny)  and Aaron Elkhart (who played trainer, Kevin Rooney). At the party afterwards, Vinny presented Ben Young with a WBC Championship medal. Ben never took it off. He said it was his own, personal boxing Oscar.
Although Vinny, who fought for the green belt, was never a WBC Champion, he has always been on our team. In fact, the movie begins with  fight between him and Roger Mayweather for the WBC Ttitle.
At the premier were many representatives of New England’s boxing community including Jimmy Burchfield, Mike George, Jaime Clampit and many, many others. Mostly, it was just hometown folks throwing an amazing party for their Champ; warm, friendly and terrific!
