FILIPINO challenger Jeny Boy Boca is eyeing for a knockout win against defending IBF Asia flyweight champion Komgrich Nantapech of Thailand in their championship fight on Friday (Sept. 30) at 4 p.m. at the Thonburi University in Bangkok.

“OK na iyang condition. He will try hard to get a knockout,” said Boca’s manager Jim Claude “JC” Manangquil, chief executive officer of the Sanman Promotions from General Santos City.

Also accompanying Boca are Sanman chief finance officer Dexter “Wangyu” Tan and co-promoter John Ray Manangquil.

Both Boca and Nantapech tipped the scales at 112 lbs. today (Sept. 29).

It is the third defense of Nantapech, who has a record of 21 wins, 3 losses and no draw with 14 knockouts.

Nantapech, 27, previously scored a 3rd round knockout against Indonesian Demsi Manufoe last August 12 in Bangkok.

Boca, on the other hand, has 12 wins, 3 losses with 10 knockouts.

The 22-year old native from Cabanglasan, Bukidnon last won via a unanimous decision against Jeffrey Alejandre on July 26 at the Gaisano Mall Atrium.

The 12-round title-fight is promoted by Jimmy Chaichotchuang.

“This will be a good fight and we are going for a KO to win the fight,” said the 23-year old Manangquil, one of the youngest boxing promoters in the world.

Boca alias “Camiguin Tiger” fought but lost for the vacant WBC International flyweight title by a 6th round technical knockout to Giemel Magramo last December 12, 2015 at the The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.

Boca started his pro career with six straight wins all via a KO or TKO against Elmer Pono, George Ministerio, Armand Basar, Jomar Diana, Dingdong Quinones and Randy Gomez.

He finally lost by a split decision in his next outing to Jerson Luzarito on Dec. 15, 2013. Boca also lost by retirement to Ardin Diale in their battle for Philippine flyweight crown on Nov. 8, 2014 in Makati.

Boca bounced back with a 2nd round KO against Michael Padayag the following year.
