Bukidnon’s Jeny Boy Boca failed to win back his World Boxing Association Asia flyweight title after Tanes Ongiunta of Thailand scored a unanimous decision today, August 6 at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok, Thailand.
All the three judges scored in favor of Onguinta. It was the 3rd title defense by Ongiungta.
Boca formerly won the vacant WBA Asia flyweight title after stopping Sarawut Thawornkham of Thailand last March 1, 2020 in Bangkok.
But due to the pandemic, Boca failed to defend his title and lost the belt.
Meanwhile, Ryan Rey Ponteras of Panabo also bowed to Yuttapong Tongdee of Thailand by a unanimous decision for the vacant WBA Asia bantamweight title.
