Light heavyweight contenders Dominic Bösel and Karo Murat faced off at the kickoff press conference for their July 1 European title showdown in Dresden, Germany.

There is bad blood between the fighters from a previous sparring session. Bösel claims Murat intentionally hit him low with a shot that left everything “blue.” Murat says he put Bösel down with a hook to the liver.

Murat pushed his head into Bösel’s face during a tense face-to-face.

Dominic Bösel: “I’m glad Karo finally stepped up – he has chickened out several times, but I’m more focused on my replacement opponent in the event Karo doesn’t show up…winning the European title is a huge step forward. Then no one is getting past me!”

Karo Murat: “Dominic, you don’t know what it feels like to lose Now I’m coming, I’ll show you – clearly defeat by KO. He’s only been boxing against bad opponents. It’s better to lose against a good boxer than to win against a bad one!”

Dominic Bösel: “You’ve already lost!”
