BONGCAWIL FAILS TO MAKE WEIGHT VS. LAS PINAS

COMEBACKING Ryan Bongcawil failed to make the weight limit against his opponent Rey Las Pinas during the official weigh-in Saturday at the Games and Amusements Board main office in Makati City.
Bongcawil, who is managed by lady boxing promoter Yolanda Alfante of Bacoor, Cavite, first tipped the scales at 138 lbs. while Las Pinas only submitted 128 lbs. Bongcawil, who still failed to loose more pounds after running outside the streets of Makati was still allowed to fight.
But he will now be using a pair of bigger gloves and will also be deducted 10 percent from his purse.
It will instead be awarded to Las Pinas.
The other featured bouts on May 28 at the Barangay Bagong Pag-asa (back of SM North) in Quezon City.
Manny Mamacquiao vs. Melvin Manangquil, Maurito Placios Jr. vs Aaron Lozano; and Freddie Gomera vs. Rex Lagane
