“BONITA” FERNÁNDEZ IS CROWNED WBC INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION

KO  YES to Diana ‘Bonita’ Fernandez who blasted Noemí ‘No-No’ Bosques in eight to win the WBC International super flyweight belt.

The fight was pretty well one sided with ‘Bonita’ dominating the tough Noemi  through unrelenting  accurate boxing.  Diana dropped Noemi in the second, but the American bounced back, soaking up increasing amounts of punishment.

Diana seemed to tire, briefly becoming lethargic in the sixth which was Noemi’s best round. But then stormed back in the seventh to reassert herself. A massive right hook  from Diana  in the eighth dropped  Noemi like a stone.  Somehow she bravely got up but was under heavy fire and it was wisely stopped at one minute and fifty seven seconds.
