BOW WOW DOBERMAN HAS DANDY BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE

wbcBy WBCnews

Dogged and talented Jairo “Doberman” Lopez got himself back on the right track, by winning  a hard fought battle and the WBC Continental Americas lightweight title, by defeating Sergio “Dandy”  Puente, at the Arena Jose Sulaiman in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

Doberman used his long reach, boxing skills and speed to prevent Dandy from backing him into the ropes for a “Pit Bull”  of a mauling.  In the third, Dandy wasted previous time by dancing a jig, but then took the lead plus hint from his irritated corner and started working the body.   Doberman roared back in the fourth with a superb left uppercut through the guard,  but Dandy was reducing the distance and tale of the fight started altering.  So Doberman dug deep and upped  his own work rate.   Dandy was more ferocious in the eleven, yet at the start of the twelfth and final round they hugged before tearing around.

No bone of contention, as the Judges saw it as a:  116-113,  117-112 and 117-111 UD for a marginally more frisky Doberman!
