Boxer Yong Zhou remains in Coma after suffering brain injury

Boxer Yong Zhou remains in coma after suffered swelling and bleeding in his Brain after getting knock out in the first round by his opponent Yu Su on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Yubei Staduim in Chongging, China. The fight was promoted by CFH Promotion.

Fighting at featherweight on his 4 rounder debut, Yu Su landed a left and a right cross that caused Zhou Yong a knock down. Seconds later, Yu Su landed a really solid left hook that knocked Zhou Yong down to the canvas.

The 26-year-old Zhou Yong was instantly knocked out and it wasn’t clear if he regained consciousness.

Right after the knock out, Zhou was treated in the ring by a nurse, then rushed off in a stretcher by paramedics and transported to hospital.

We all hope that Chinese boxer Zhou Yong will make a fast and full recovery.
