Five Mexican fighters have tried and five have failed to defeat WBC bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanka,  so now Luis “Pantera” Nery intrepidly steps up to challenge, determined to be six of the best!

On August 15 the card “World Premium Boxing,” is presented by Teiken Boxing Gym, which will take place at the Shimazu Arena in Kyoto, Japan.  It stars the unbeaten  WBC bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka (27-0-2 / 19KOs)who fights  the official challenger, Mexican Luis “Pantera” Nery (23-0 / 17KOs).  Yamanka is defending his belt for the THIRTEENTH  time,  which he won in 2011 in Tokyo by defeating Mexican Christian “Italian” Esquivel.

WBC bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka is recognized by the Japanese boxing fans for his astounding boxing skills,  but also as a long-time world champion based on his discipline and professionalism. He is lauded and awarded  as the “Best Boxer of 2016 in Japan”, chosen by the Japan Boxing Commission. And the “Best Fight of 2016 in Japan” by defeating Panamanian Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno in the seventh episode.

Yamanaka will equal the mark of most consecutive defenses of a world-wide title, that is held by Yoko Gushiken, who is a former light flyweight champion. He  had 13 defenses from 1976 to 1981 when he was dethroned by the Mexican Pedro Flores.

Shinsuke has fought and defeated five Mexican boxers…all of them by KO!  He first knocked out Yucatecan Jose “Cacho” Silvia, later he knocked out Christian “Esquivel”, then Veracruz sensation Tomas “Gusano” Rojas. In 2013 he knocked out Alberto “Metro” Guevara and finally Carlos Carlson in March of this year.
