Brian Kelleher and Montel Jackson are going to give things a second try at UFC 232.
The two bantamweights have been re-booked to meet on Dec. 29 at UFC 232 in Las Vegas, the UFC recently announced. Kelleher and Jackson were previously scheduled to collide at UFC 230, however Kelleher withdrew from the contest on the morning of the fight due to illness.
Kelleher (19-9) has won three of his five UFC appearances, a run highlighted by a unanimous decision victory over former champion Renan Barao this past February and a first-round submission of Iuri Alcantara. He suffered a third-round knockout loss to top-10 contender John Lineker in his most recent outing.
Jackson (6-1), on the other hand, is still looking to secure his first Octagon win after earning a contract through the UFC’s Contender Series. The 26-year-old prospect dropped a unanimous decision to Ricky Simon in his promotional debut at UFC 227, but racked up a 6-0 record on the regional scene prior his UFC signing.
UFC 232 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. The card is headlined by two title fights: Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson 2 for the vacant light heavyweight title, plus a champion vs. champion bout between Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes.
