UFC featherweights Brian Ortega and Renato Moicano will square off in Anaheim.
A pair of rising featherweight grapplers will square off in California, as UFC Brazil reported Brian Ortega takes on Renato Moicano at UFC 214.
Undefeated, Brian Ortega (11-0(1 NC) is on a three-fight winning streak in the UFC, having finished Thiago Tavares, Diego Brandao, and most recently Clay Guida, although that fight was almost a full year ago. It could have been a four-fight winning streak had Ortega not tested positive for a performance enhancing drug following his win over Mike De La Torre, which was then overturned to a No Contest.
Also undefeated, Renato Moicano (11-0-1) rides a three-fight winning streak in the UFC, having finished Tom Niinimaki in his debut and then edging out both Zubaira Tukhugov and Jeremy Stephens by split decision. The Stephens win came in April 2017 on the main card of UFC on FOX 24.
UFC 214 takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on July 29. The card will be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between champion Daniel Cormier and a returning Jon Jones.
