Briedis vs Perez, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for September 26-30

It’s a slower weekend, but the WBSS has action, and there’s more out there.

FS1, 9:00 pm ET, Leduan Barthelemy vs Eduardo Ramirez. Two unbeaten fighters. Barthelemy is the younger brother of Yan and Rances, and has some potential. He’s 28, so the sooner he gets going for real, the better. Pretty standard PBC on FS1 stuff, really. BLH will have live coverage.

Friday, September 29

TV Azteca (MEX), 11:30 pm ET, Luis Castro vs Raul Esquer.

Saturday, September 30

Sky Sports (UK), 2:00 pm ET, Paul Butler vs Stuart Hall, Rocky Fielding vs David Brophy. Also on the card: Sean Dodd vs Thomas Stalker and Tom Farrell vs Ohara Davies. So a pretty decent domestic card overall, nothing with serious world stage implications, but fine enough matchups. The card starts at 2:00 pm ET (7:00 pm local) on Sky Sports Arena, and continues at 2:40/7:40 on Sky Sports Main Event.

WorldBoxingSuperSeries.com / ITV Box Office (UK) / Super Channel (CAN), 5:00 pm ET, Mairis Briedis vs Mike Perez. The cruiserweight tournament continues, with Briedis defending the WBC title against Perez at home in Latvia. The winner of this one moves on to face Oleksandr Usyk in the semifinal round. BLH will have live coverage.

Televisa (MEX), 11:00 pm ET, Jessica Chavez vs Esmeralda Moreno. For Chavez’s WBC flyweight title. This is a rematch of a fight from July 2016, which Chavez won by majority decision in Cancun. Both have won two fights since, including Moreno upsetting Ibeth Zamora Silva for the WBC junior flyweight belt in April.
