On Saturday in Chihuahua, Ramón “Inocente” Alvarez and Omar Chavez will star a rematch bout in a card dubbed: “For Pride.”
The second edition of this Encounter will increase the rivalry between the Chavez and Alvarez towards the clash of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, who fight on May 6 in Las Vegas.
Omar Chávez, who has 35 wins, 23 KO´s, three defeats and a draw, trains with his brother Julio at the Otomí Ceremonial Center.
Ramón Alvarez (24-5, 16 KOs and two draws) has been training at the Canelo´s training camp in San Diego, California.
“Innocent” says he’s not complacent, after his previous victory over Omar, but he’ll repeat his success.
Omar comes to this commitment with great motivation and in a good moment. His last three fights have been victories, and it is natural that he wants to avenge the defeat that he suffered against Alvarez.
