Drawing on the deep reservoir of experience from once being a super welterweight world champion, Carlos Molina won a unanimous welterweight decision over Carlos Gorham at the Acapulco Convention Center.
With scores of 80-72 on all three scorecards, Carlos overcame a tough, yet tentative opponent, with a significantly better work rate, more aggression and a constant attack, both to head and body.
Molina never allowed Gorham to settle, relentlessly pursuing, while smothering many of his opponent`s punches. He dominated with the left jab, making use of left and right hooks to the head, while pounding the body. Efficient, rather than spectacular, it was a good win and well earned.
