Canelo-Golovkin 2: Full Press Conference

Badlefthook.com

It appears that there’s a lot of love lost between middleweights Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin — so much so that the two sides wouldn’t even meet in person for their press conference announcing their September rematch.

Instead both fighters held a split-site press conference which was streamed live from Guadalajara, Mexico and Big Bear, California via Facebook, and can be viewed above thanks to our friends at Fight Hub TV.

This opening presser is even expected to be the only time the two fighters will interact with one another until fight week, meaning they won’t be taking their pressers on tour, there won’t be any sit down face off with Max Kellerman, nor will there be much by way of good trash talking. There’s only Canelo and Golovkin discussing how they’ve lost respect for one another.

“Yes, absolutely [this time it’s personal],” said Alvarez. “They disrespected me for everything they have been saying, everything they have been doing, all their actions. Now it’s different. It’s personal.”
